About the role
This team is building estimating and crew management software and underestimates how much a tree quote depends on things a photo cannot show. Access for the bucket truck, proximity to the house and power lines, and the cleanup and hauling all move the price. They want an owner who has bid removals in the yard and can explain what makes one job twice the price of another.
What you will do
- Walk us through bidding removals based on access, size, and risk.
- Walk us through proximity to structures and power lines and rigging plans.
- Walk us through pricing cleanup, stump grinding, and hauling.
- Walk us through crew and equipment scheduling around weather and storm work.
About you
- You own or manage a tree service business
- You have bid removals and run crews in the field
- Three or more years in the trade
- Comfortable on a recurring video call
Compensation
This role pays $90/hr, invoiced after each session. You are told the rate before any call and paid for your time whether or not anything else comes of it. Most engagements start with one or two calls (ongoing advisory), and operators who know their numbers are invited to ongoing paid advisory.
Logistics
- Location: Remote, US. Calls happen over video.
- Time commitment: 2 to 4 hrs / month, on a schedule that works for you.
- Recording only happens with your consent, and your company details stay confidential.
