About the role
This team is building permitting and scheduling software and keeps underestimating how much of septic work is paperwork and locating. Every county health department has its own rules, tanks get buried and lost, and pumping intervals depend on tank size and household. They want an operator who has argued with an inspector and located a tank with a probe.
What you will do
- Walk us through county health department permits and inspection rules.
- Walk us through pumping schedules by tank size and household load.
- Walk us through locating buried tanks and mapping systems for repeat service.
- Walk us through quoting repairs, drainfield work, and full system installs.
About you
- You own or manage a septic or well services business
- You have pulled county permits and located tanks yourself
- Five or more years in the trade
- Comfortable on a recurring video call
Compensation
This role pays $95/hr, invoiced after each session. You are told the rate before any call and paid for your time whether or not anything else comes of it. Most engagements start with one or two calls (ongoing advisory), and operators who know their numbers are invited to ongoing paid advisory.
Logistics
- Location: Remote, US. Calls happen over video.
- Time commitment: 2 to 4 hrs / month, on a schedule that works for you.
- Recording only happens with your consent, and your company details stay confidential.
