About the role
This team is building measure and quoting software and wants to understand how a flooring contractor gets from a walkthrough to a number the customer will sign. Every material has its own waste factor and install rate, the subfloor is never what the homeowner thinks, and a bad measure eats the whole margin. They want a contractor who quotes this work and manages the installs.
What you will do
- Walk us through measuring rooms and calculating waste by material.
- Walk us through subfloor prep and the surprises that change the quote.
- Walk us through pricing across tile, hardwood, LVP, and carpet.
- Walk us through scheduling installers and handling material delivery.
About you
- You own or manage a flooring business
- You have measured and quoted jobs yourself
- Three or more years in the trade
- Willing to be recorded on a call
Compensation
This role pays $75/hr, invoiced after each session. You are told the rate before any call and paid for your time whether or not anything else comes of it. Most engagements start with one or two calls (paid interviews), and operators who know their numbers are invited to ongoing paid advisory.
Logistics
- Location: Remote, US. Calls happen over video.
- Time commitment: 1 to 2 calls to start, on a schedule that works for you.
- Recording only happens with your consent, and your company details stay confidential.
