About the role
This team is building parts-lookup and diagnostic software and wants to understand how a tech gets from a broken washer to a quoted repair. Model and serial numbers drive the whole part-ordering process, warranty jobs pay differently than cash calls, and sometimes the honest answer is to replace the unit. They want an operator who lives that call every day.
What you will do
- Walk us through the diagnostic fee and how it rolls into the repair quote.
- Walk us through model and serial lookup and ordering the right part once.
- Walk us through the repair-versus-replace call and how techs explain it.
- Walk us through warranty and manufacturer work versus cash service calls.
About you
- You own or manage an appliance repair business
- You have diagnosed and quoted jobs in the field
- Three or more years in the trade
- Willing to be recorded on a call
Compensation
This role pays $80/hr, invoiced after each session. You are told the rate before any call and paid for your time whether or not anything else comes of it. Most engagements start with one or two calls (paid interviews), and operators who know their numbers are invited to ongoing paid advisory.
Logistics
- Location: Remote, US. Calls happen over video.
- Time commitment: 1 to 2 calls to start, on a schedule that works for you.
- Recording only happens with your consent, and your company details stay confidential.
